MUST LOVE LaLaLand.
(Or at the very least, tolerate it while watching it with me.)
That's what my personal ad would read if I ever felt a need (or needed) to create such a thing. Recently, I've been thinking about fate (and/or luck) and more realistically, coincidences that seem like fate in the working.
FATE. As in *fately fated. (*NOTE: I did not write fatally.)
Fate is a pretty weighted (wicked) word. 'Cause, we're talking fate.
1. The development of events beyond a person's control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power.
Lately, I have determined that the universe has been trying to force me to (at the very least) open my eyes and toy with the notion that fate does exist in some stupid plain of my (non-supernatural, head in the clouds) existence. Insane, I know. 'Cause fate. BUT, I have become so whacky with the idea of fated fate that I actually want to believe that fate is fate AND that somehow somehow the universe is speaking (in possible tongue) to me via license plates. Yes, those alphabetical and numerical things on our vehicles. JK not. I keep seeing variations of particular letters (sometimes in different order, sometimes clear as a taunting, bullying, NOT the least bit subtle, message just straight up spelled OUT, for me) everywhere, on (yes) various license plates. Which leads me to (only sort of) believe "someone" wants me to pay attention. AND. I think they want me to finish my graphic novel. Not weird, right.
But. (Teehee. I said "but" twice)
Maybe. Maybe. I'm just going lalaloopsy and have watched 'LaLaLand' ten too many times.
(Also, not weird. Right.)
Anyhow, fate as in fate, that won't shut up, lead me to do an online Tarot reading through the very reliable people at Buzzfeed, so (you know) it's totally legit.
(But. Really. It's spooky (as 16 f*cking creepy things that actually happened in 2016) how the quizzes always "get" me. LIKE. Dead on. I should simply realize it is my fate to date Buzzfeed. Which, technically, if I think about it, I sort of am, because I have spent many a Friday night messing around with those quizzes. FYI, I am 51 according to the Hot Topic outfit I selected.)
"BUT. I picked the coolest outfit," says every old person ever.
My reading. With visuals.
Insert spooky (accurate AF) music here please.

P.S.S. Even Adam Ellis from BuzzFeedLand thinks my expectations are unrealistic. Bite me Adam. @moby_dickhead
These irreplaceable shoes are fated to be with me until the last thread that holds us together leaves me feeling alone and longing for them to be back in my life again.
